This is cased in a plastic pencil, which I originally wasn't too keen on. I don't know if this helps me be more sturdy or exact or anything like that but I can't even take points off for the potential sharpening woes.
Soft brown is a slightly warm medium brown. It was between this shade and Auburn for me, but I felt like this one was a bit of a better fit, especially since my hair is a bit darker because of the winter/lack of being outside. My hair tends to pull more red in the summer because when it's lightened by the sun the redder tones are pulled out more, so I may try this in Auburn if I see a big change in my hair.
The formula has enough pigment, but not too much. Its soft colored; its not like you're putting an eyeliner in your brows. The biggest win about this is the fact that it doesn't break when you're working with it; its not super thin like all other brow pencils that I've worked with.
Overall;
Pros;
- Right amount of pigment.
- Sturdy, won't break mid-brow.
- Natural finish
Cons:
- NONE!
I freaking love this. Given that the last brow pencil I tried by Maybelline (and the one before that) royally sucked, I didn't have high hopes for this. But I was desperate and for once that worked out in my favor.
10/10 Highly recommended! Serious holy grail status here.
